A super-important, life-changing announcement from the Armstrongs

The Armstrongs have some super-important, life-changing news! Before you try to guess what it is, I’ll just tell you straight up what it’s not:

  1. We’re not having another baby. That ship has sailed.
  2. We’re not buying a house. That still doesn’t agree with us.
  3. I don’t have a new book contract just yet. Maybe soon, though…

So what’s the news?

Watch the video to find out:

Did you watch it?

No?

Okay, go back and do that. I’ll wait.

. . .

Done? Okay, well if you didn’t watch the video, I’ve got a big announcement for y’all—one that we’ve been waiting a loooong time to make. Ready?

The Armstrongs are moving!

To America!

On August 1, 2016, I start a brand new job at LifeWay Christian Resources as the Brand Manager for The Gospel Project. In case you’re not already familiar with it, The Gospel Project is a chronological, all-ages Bible study which shows how all of Scripture points to Jesus. In my role, I’ll be focused on engaging church leaders through written and video content, social media and events to help them see how The Gospel Project can assist them in discipling the people attending their churches.

It’s a big job, but LifeWay has a great team and The Gospel Project is an amazing product. Plus, I get to work alongside Trevin Wax, which is pretty awesome.

This new position also comes with a major change for our family in that we will be relocating to the Nashville, TN, area in late July. Which, as you can probably imagine, is pretty intense. In the next couple of weeks, we’ve got a lot of details to finalize—including our exact departure date and the place we’ll live (we’re waiting on word on this). But we’re trusting God to meet all our needs in this.

But we’ve also got a favor to ask: would you please pray for us? Like I said above, there’s a ton  to get settled in a really short amount of time, and we’re going to need a lot of wisdom. But we’ve also got the reality that this is a major change for us—especially culturally. There are bound to be days where we wonder if we’re insane for doing this, and legitimately missing Canada. So if it occurs to you, please do keep our family in your prayers as we make this transition.

What does my new job for my blog? Right now, nothing. The plan is, I’ll continue to write new content, and produce new podcast episodes, just as I have always done. But certainly through the second half of July and probably all of August, you’ll see my content schedule modify slightly to give me the time necessary to do things like move and get settled.

Emily and I are thrilled about this new opportunity God has provided—and that we’re finally able to share it with you all!
