It seems like our family is always going through some upheaval these days. This comes with the territory when you move countries, I suppose. We’ve got all kinds of craziness going on with work, school opportunities, church…
There’s a lot. I’ve had a lot of it swimming around in my head for weeks, and realized as I sit in a hotel in Louisville, that I should do something wise: pray, and ask for prayer.
So that’s what I’m doing. Here’s what I’m asking for specifically:
- My family’s future in America. Based on the last year, at least, I would love for our family to stay here in America. My job at The Gospel Project is challenging in all the right ways, and LifeWay treats me very well. We’re starting to feel settled in a church and we’re starting to make friends. But the process of staying is challenging (and expensive). We’re trusting that if God wants me here, he’s going to make it all happen. I hope you’ll join us in praying through this, too.
- My big writing project. I’ve been working on something fun that I’ll be officially announcing in a couple of months, but what I’ll say for now is that I am not overstating when I say it’s big. It’s one of the most challenging writing projects I’ve had so far, as evidenced by my continually hitting blocks as I write (a new experience). I’m most of the way there, but would appreciate your prayers as I try to bring it home.
- My future with seminary. I’m debating between two schools at the moment to resume my seminary education, and I’d love to have some clarity and peace of mind about which one is right. (This is also why I’m in Louisville right now.) Please be praying that I’ll have a good sense of how to proceed out of this visit.
